36 Regiment Royal Artillery​

The Regiment was represented on 3 Tours to the Province.

In early 1969 both Batteries undertook extensive training in Internal Secruity at Shoeburyness.

In March1969 before Operation Banner came into operation a small detachment of 62 men and Officers were

sent to Northern Ireland to be deployed with another Unit. Operation Banner was in operation from the

14th August 1969 until 31st July 2007.

Two further Tours took place from the 28th March to the 31 July 1973 to East Belfast, and from the

26th November 1976 until 29th March 1977 to Long Kesh.
